Football Talent Hunt
Creating opportunities for grassroots sporting talent

talent-hunt announcement
LGAs included
Young footballers in grassroots communities may have talent and ambition but limited opportunities to be seen. GIPSED’s Football Talent Hunt was designed to give players from Odo-Otin, Ifelodun and Boripe a platform to demonstrate their abilities.
The 2014 initiative
A July 2014 announcement promoted a football talent hunt with former Nigerian international and Olympic gold medallist Emmanuel Babayaro. The event was scheduled for 28 July to 2 August 2014 at Odo-Otin Grammar School, Okuku, and selected pitches in Ifelodun and Boripe.
The initiative was presented with the Society for Positive Change (SPC), with the aim of helping talented local footballers access scouting opportunities.
The programme record
The original poster documents the dates and intended reach of the initiative. Further details of participation and subsequent player outcomes will be added when confirmed. No professional contracts or recruitment outcomes are claimed in this account.
